German Laverde will focus on Latin American business opportunities in his presentation.
International business authority German Laverde will present a keynote address entitled “Expanding Your Business Opportunities in Latin America: Realities & Challenges” to lead-off the February 11 Conference Program at ICE USA 2015 in Orlando, FL, USA.

Following his morning Keynote Presentation, Laverde will also be providing complimentary one-on-one consultation sessions in the Ask The Experts Pavilion on the show floor from 10:20 am to 1:00 pm. ICE USA attendees can book an appointment in advance on the ICE USA website.

There will be three keynote presentations leading off each day of the conference sessions from February 10-12. Information on the other two Keynote Presentations will be available soon.

“Although my presentation will focus on the Latin American marketplace, I will also address specific strategies and offer valuable insights that can be beneficial to converters doing business in North America and around the world,” says Laverde. “I will provide information and examples of how cultural challenges, market trends, common misconceptions and language barriers can affect business opportunities.”

With more than 30 years of business experience in the Latin American marketplace, Laverde has held senior management positions at Exiplast and Plastilene in his native country of Colombia. In the USA, he has served in a variety of management positions with Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering and has headed up Latin American Sales for PTI and Cloeren Incorporated.

He has also chaired the flexible packaging division of the Society of Plastics Engineers and is a member of SPI’s NPE operations committee. In addition, he has published papers and presented at TAPPI, ANTEC, AMI and numerous other conferences across the globe.

“We are very fortunate that German is available to speak at ICE USA,” adds Bob Chiricosta, director, North American Exhibitions. “He is very much in demand as he provides such valuable insights into doing business in Latin America and around the world.”
